Maegan is 15 and driving. I can't believe that she is now old enough to have her learners permit. She drives us everywhere and makes my heart stop now and then. Her take offs and stops are REALLY jerky and it cracks me up. When Wade is in the back row he gets the knocks from the stroller as we start and stop hard.
The funniest thing about Maegan driving is her parking. That gal can't pull straight into a parking spot for nothing. We have to pull in, back up, pull in, open the doors to check to see if she made it between the lines, and normally have to back up and try it again. One time we were in a hurry and she was a bit over the parking line at Publix. I told her just forget it we needed to hurry up and get home. Marissa, Maegan, Grandma, & I are chuckling and then Marissa stops and says, "I know that bag boy, he goes to our school." We turn at look at her parking job and she says, "MOM, we can't leave it like this! It is SOO embarrassing!!" I thought it was funny, but we did fix the parking job just in case he was the one taking our groceries to the car.

Wade
So this is Wade's 2nd year of playing football and love that boy but man is he uncoordinated. Wade has really struggled with his speed and he often says he is slower than a turtle with two broken legs. He plays on the line offense mainly and sometimes defense. His biggest hurdle has been trying to be quick enough so he isn't beaten off the line by his opponent.
He plays for Kanapaha Middle School and they are the worst team in the league. Although the kids are having a blast they just can't seem to catch a break. A few weeks ago they were playing really well, moving the ball down the field and then all of a sudden the sprinklers came on! The boys were doused with water and the field was muddy by the time the powers that be found someone to turn them off. It didn't take long for their QB to slip on one play and then fumble the wet football on the next. So here we are cheering loud trying to keep the boys excited and focused on a turnover. Wade goes in on defense and we are yelling to Wade to "be the first one to the ball!!" Next thing you know, Wade takes off early and pulls the penalty. Everyone in the stands just laughed as Wade held out his arms as if to say "oops". One of the parents said, "What can you say, he was the first off the line and the first to the ball." We all got a good chuckle out of it.
They played their last game on Tuesday and after an entire season of being shut out they finally scored! Wade played his best game yet. On opening kickoff he layed out the guy he was lined up with and had a few more hits like that. At the end of the game the coach called out Wade and one other kid congratulating them on their hits. I was so proud of him!!
They have their playoff game this Tuesday and although no one is expecting to win, I am really looking forward to seeing Wade continue to step it up.

Go Nat!!
This is my 2nd year of playing tennis and I am having a blast! I have been playing Doubles & Singles and even did a Mixed Doubles team over the summer with Jim. I have so much to learn but love the game! Their are 5 courts to play on, with court 1 being the best and court 5 the worst. I played last season on courts 4 & 5 and this season have played courts 3 & 4. A huge suprise that this week I was put on court 2 and panicked. I just knew that I was going to get my butt kicked. My partner & I had a rough start but ended up winning the match 2-6, 6-3, & 6-1. Whoo Hoo!
